Hi,
I have wanted this Bird House Die by Eileen Hull for Sizzix from the moment I saw it...so Cute... Well I finally got it and had to play.
I'm a big fan of Newsprint when getting grungy so decided to first cover the little house with pieces of newsprint, I painted the inside and the roof with some peach colored paint and then used some crackle paint on the top and some Mr Hueys Colormist in Blizzard to make some white spots on the underside of the roof.
After the roof dried I added a little distress stickles over the crackle paint to give it a little sparkle.
I added some straw to the inside and flowers and distressed dyed ribbon and a sweet little Bird by Stephanie Ackerman for Purple Onion Design which I colored with copics. The Sign was hand written as I could not for the life of me find a welcome stamp..... Pretty Easy and so much Fun!!
Then since I was in the mood for more 3D Creating.... I decided to play with the Window Box Die Set by Eileen Hull for Sizzix and make a decorator item for my Stamp Room.
Here is the Result:
I wanted the window and the window box to look old and so I used some newsprint and paint on the underside and some faded jeans crackle paint on top. The Sentiment is a stamp by Simon Says stamp and I thought it was just perfect for this. I used distress paint daubers to paint the flowers and then a little rock candy crackle paint on top of the leaves and some distress stickles on top of the flowers.
Then I just circle punched my three sweet faces and put them in the flower centers so I can look at them every day!!
The Bloom and Garden Stake are also Dies by Ellen Hull for Sizzix and I thought they fit with this project perfectly!
These were cut using the Sizzix Mat Board HERE I Love that Stuff!
Hope you have a great day and don't forget I have a giveaway below that will end on the 5th.
Thanks for stopping by.....
