Overcoming FEARS and a Card.....

OK...so most people that really know me ...know how afraid I am of Escalators.

Not sure why?? But I can go up them...but NEVER down them!!! Always have to search for the nearest Elevator! Dale is always trying to get me to go down by saying I will help you...I won't let anything happen...Well over the years he has just gotten use to my strange fear.....
Well coming home from Phoenix and going down to the baggage claim...was a long escalator and no elevator in sight!!! I panicked....Dale helped me and told me to take my time...as i looked at him and said "Get Away From Me" I stepped on and went down!!
This may not seem like a BIG deal to you...but to me it was a HUGE accomplishment!!
Not sure I will always be able to go down but am proud of myself for doing it!!

I have not had lots of time to play since getting home but was playing with my alcohol inks this morning after watching Jennifer McGuire's Thinking inking Videos and made this simple card....
Love the colors made by using those inks!!! (Colors Used: Lettuce, Wild Plum and Stream)

OH.. and the Bachelor!! I have loved Kipton since the first time he walked out of the Limo....I'm Rooting for him as Dale's Favorite Reed is now gone...I loved Reed too but don't think he was assertive enough I think he has a little maturing to do...

Hope you all have a Wonderful day!!!

WELL DONE.... it can be so scary doing something you fear. Love the card. I don't have any alcohol inks but thinking I really need some after watching Jennifer's video and seeing this card.

Yippee - well done. I have LOADS of fears and try to make small steps to overcome them but never as successfully as you. Way to go Kelly.

Yayyyy, I'm SO proud of you! I can't help but laugh at your little fear, but I'm happy you're getting over it. : )

On to the Bachelorette: I was seriously heart broken last night when Reid left. You're gonna laugh, but he kind of reminded me of Brett, how he couldn't communicate his feelings (but you could tell, he really had them for her!) SO SAD.
So, now I am routing for 1 of 2 things:
A) Jillian brings Reid BACK!
B) Kypton wins

I have the same fear of stairs that do not have a solid support underneath. I also can't go up or down an escalator to or from the 3rd floor. I feel your fear...oh and glass elevators...forget it!

Hi Kelly!!! Just wanted to drop a line and see what you've been up to. As you probably guessed, I still don't have much time for myself and I try REALLY hard to make time to make cards... I used to pound out 3-5 cards a week, I'm lucky if I can get one decent one out nowadays!!! Anyways, thank you so much for being so sweet and thoughtful throughout the last few months. Your little cards in the mail definitely made me smile. Also, I have seen a great progression and improvement in your cards over the last few months as well. You are truly a force to be reckoned with now! Not that you weren't before! But, your stuff now really is jaw dropping!! Like the said card on this page!! So creative, so beautiful, so well thought out in every single way. I am so proud of ya!!! And even prouder to call you a friend! :D

I knew you were afraid of escalators and I'd help you down them ANYDAY unless there was a cow at the bottom then you're on your own girl!!!

Hi, Kelly! Good for you for tackling a fear! Wooo-hooo! :-)

Love your card with all the colorful alcohol ink butterflies! I think my favorite part is how you scalloped the edge of the cloud background and used only part of it. Terrific!
